Forevermark in Association with Narayan Jewellers Lights up Bibhu Mohapatra’s New York Fashion Week Show

It is an association which has not lost its sparkle – Forevermark, De Beers Diamond brand and renowned fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra continue to be a dazzling combination. The two international brands got together once again – this time to light up the ramp at Mohapatra’s latest showing during the New York Fashion Week.

“In collaboration with Narayan Jewellers by Ketan and Jatin Chokshi, Forevermark provided an assortment of beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced diamond jewellery pieces to complement the designer’s Fall Winter 2019 collection,” Forevermark said.

The show also marked a milestone for Bibhu Mohapatra, who celebrated his 10th anniversary collection, culminating a decade of bold prints, intricate beading, and show-stopping silhouettes.

“Bibhu’s Fall Winter 2019 Collection comes alive in a special runway show, inspired by his trip to Mount Stewart, UK, its history of the famous gardens and the women who helped create them,” Forevermark said, describing the muse behind the collection. “Often disguised as men, they travelled the world in search of new lands and exotic flora and foliage. Intricate embroideries, textured fabrics and details capture the free-spiritedness of the garden, while the silhouettes embolden and inspired by the woman as a master of her natural surroundings. Rounding out the celebration of the brand’s ten-year arch of success will be the real women of Bibhu, the clients who bring his gowns to life.”

Narayan Jewellers by Ketan and Jatin Chokshi have expertly crafted statement Forevermark diamond jewellery set in 18K white and rose gold, specifically for the show with artistry to reflect the rich tapestry of Bibhu’s fall winter collection.

Echoing and complementing the exquisite craftsmanship of Bibhu’s designs, the innovative jewellery collection is striking, imaginative and elegant. It features layered necklaces, ear cuffs, cocktail rings, statement necklaces, multi-functional concept earrings with front and back ear clips and chandelier earrings.

“The Fall 2019 collection and show is very special to me as my namesake label celebrates 10 years,” said Bibhu Mohapatra.  “This journey of 10 years would not have been possible without the support of all the Bibhu-women.  With this collection, I honour them for all the inspiration during this journey.  For this show, I am delighted to have Forevermark and Narayan Jewellers as my collaborators. Having worked with Forevermark on so many occasions, what has kept our partnership going is the commitment and excellence the brand comes with. Their core ideology of using only the most beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced diamonds resonates with my brand ideologies and design principles.”

Sachin Jain, President, Forevermark India, said, “We are delighted to be a part of Bibhu Mohapatra’s NYFW show, this association further strengthens our ties with Bibhu and Narayan Jewellers. We at Forevermark have always worked with like-minded brands that not only showcase innovation, but also act as flag-bearers of exceptional design. With this show, one will witness the high-quality and finesse of Indian workmanship and design on a global platform as we have partnered with one of India’s finest jewellers – Narayan Jewellers to curate an exclusive collection.”

Ketan Chokshi, Co-Owner Narayan Jewellers said: “We at Narayan Jewellers are thrilled to once again partner with Forevermark and to be a part of Bibhu’s 10-year celebrations. For us, it was important to create jewellery pieces featuring Forevermark diamonds that not only defined modern contemporary but also acted as the perfect accompaniment for Bibhu’s couture pieces. The new collection included 41 designer pieces, which were uniquely crafted creating the right balance between aesthetic and quantity of raw material. Each design was light weight yet very statement and classic. It was amazing to see how effortless some of the bigger pieces appear. Flexibility of the design made this new jewellery line very wearable. Usage of chains gave very subtle soft look to the collection.”
