GIA has announced that it will conduct its practical five-day programme on diamonds in Mumbai beginning from July 4, 2016.

The programme is open to “diamond enthusiasts, hobbyists and connoisseurs”, the GIA indicated. Participants will work with real diamonds and professional gemmological instruments and learn both technical and practical ways to observe and evaluate diamond quality; and will also learn how the 4Cs can affect value and the ways in which diamond treatments can affect the appearance of a stone.
