The Chairman of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Pramod Kumar Agrawal held a meeting with the Chairman of MMTC Limited, Ved Prakash, on December 31, 2018 in Jaipur.

At the meeting, the two heads discussed the possibility of future cooperation between their respective organisations, in order to boost gems and jewellery exports from the country. Both arrived at an agreement to promote Brand India jewellery in the UAE.

The MMTC Chairman invited Chairman, GJEPC to Delhi on January 4, 2019, in order to take their discussions further ahead.

Prakash also sought the help of the GJEPC for getting a private  bonded warehousing zone sanctioned in Jaipur SEZ, so that precious metals can be provided to units within the SEZ as well as to those in the DTA, at a cost-effective rate. Agrawal agreed to support MMTC on the issue.
