The President of Uzbekistan H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev met GJEPC Chairman Mr. Pramod Agarwal at a special dinner reception for selected industry leaders, held on September 30, 2018 at Delhi. The President is on a State visit to the country.

During their interaction, the Chairman discussed the possibilities of direct sourcing of gold from Uzbekistan, and suggested that an industry delegation from India could visit Uzbekistan to strengthen the bilateral trade relationship in the gems and jewellery sector.
