A delegation from The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) recently conducted a meeting with members of the gem and jewellery industry in Yangon, Myanmar to promote the forthcoming IIJS Premiere Show and highlight GJEPC’s other international initiatives. The delegation was led by Shailesh Sangani, Convener, Exhibitions Sub-Committee (National), GJEPC.

During the road show in the capital city, the GJEPC delegation made a presentation about the Indian industry and the opportunities for collaboration. The jewellery industry in India was eager to forge direct ties with gemstone dealers from Myanmar, they said, adding that IIJS, which was being held in Mumbai in August provided an excellent platform for further interaction.

The meeting in Myanmar was attended by more than 110 members of the gem and jewellery trade.
