As part of the ongoing activity for the Swachhata Pakhwada, a campaign under the directive of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) recently conducted a Sapling Plantation Drive in the Bharat Diamond Bourse Complex, Mumbai. The drive commenced with saplings being planted by GJEPC Vice Chairman Colin Shah and Executive Director Sabyasachi Ray. They were joined by other senior directors as well as staff members, who together planted approximately 100 saplings, which were then watered and covered with mud, in a short span of time. This activity was conducted under the supervision of expert horticulturists on the periphery of the Bharat Diamond Bourse Complex, courtesy BDB.  At the end of the drive, all the participants pledged to take care of the trees and Mother Planet.
