GJEPC Organises Exporter’s Meet at Amritsar

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s (GJEPC) Delhi regional office organised an Exporter's Meet on September 4, 2019 at Amritsar to discuss the current situation in the industry and the challenges being faced by the exporters.

The Northern Regional Chairman Ashok Seth informed those present that some of the key pending policy issues such as restarting the Replenishment Scheme and Non-payment of IGST on re- import of goods exported through exhibition mode had been resolved. He also spoke about various initiatives taken up by the Council including the Swasthya Ratna and Swasthya Kosh schemes, Parichay Card, the setting up of a Common Facility Centre in East Delhi, etc.

Subsequently, GJEPC’s Director- National Policy, K.K. Duggal gave a detailed presentation on the current status of the industry and the different schemes announced by the Government of India for the sector.

Nearly 50 member-exporters attended the meet.
