GJF Launches Mobile App for the Gems & Jewellery Industry in India

The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) has launched a mobile app on the Android and IOS platforms. The app currently has two main features: a GJF Members’ Directory - a database which the app users can access to connect, network and thus grow their businesses; and information about the organisation and various activities undertaken by it such as PMI, NJA, Labham, Abhushanam and GJF Fashion Nite. GJF said that updates of the app in the future will integrate more features of benefit to the gems and jewellery sector, including industry news and updates; GJF’s Jeweller Identification Card (JID); and videos of various seminars.

“It is a proud moment for GJF to launch its first ever mobile app for the gems and jewellery industry, which is a step to align ourselves with PM Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of digitalisation,” said GJF Chairman, G V Sreedhar. “The app would be very useful to our members to connect to various activities undertaken by GJF over these years and also hook up to the large data base of GJF members. The app will basically synergise with our philosophy to protect, promote and progress the trade.”

Mukul Kulkarni, GJF CEO commented, “The principle of the app is to keep it simple and user friendly. We are confident that the industry will benefit a lot from this app. GJF is already working on the second phase of the app, which will have more enhanced user experience that will help the industry get organised and compliant”.
