The Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India in association with The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council and the Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council organised an apprenticeship roadshow at the Park Hotel, Kolkata on 15th Nov’2018.

Sanjay Kothari, Chairman- GJSCI, Prakash ChC Pincha, Chairman-ER, GJEPC and Sankar Sen Chairman - East, GJC introduced the Skill Council of India and its various schemes. Rajeev Garg, CEO-GJSCI made a detailed presentation on the activities undertaken by GJSCI and the opportunities that exist for those employed in the industry as well as potential partners.

Pankhurin Borgohin, from NSDC also highlighted the requirements for development of skills of artisans and apprenticeship schemes.

The speakers also discussed the initiatives undertaken by GJEPC and GJSCI for artisans across the country in the field of skill development. Officials from IIGJ made a presentation on the different courses offered by them.
