The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) has invited entries for its ICA International Poster Competition 2017 dedicated to promoting gemstones and also showcasing the art of jewellery design and craftsmanship. The competition is held as part of a longstanding tradition to coincide with each biennial Congress of the organisation.

This year, the ICA Congress is being held in Jaipur, India from Oct 21-24, 2017, the second time that the ‘Pink City’, a major centre for cutting and polishing coloured gems, and also world renowned for its stunning coloured gemstone jewellery and fine craftsmanship, is hosting the event since ICA was founded in 1984.

The theme for this year’s competition is "Heart to Heart," which evokes the origins of a jewel from the Designer's Heart to Idea to Design to Workshop to the Buyer's Heart. The aim is to design a poster that incorporates a piece of jewellery adorned with colored gemstones in keeping with this theme. The type of jewellery is up to the imagination of the participant.

The competition, which is coordinated by Mr. Yehuda Kassif, a special advisor to the ICA Board of Directors, is open to graphic designers and other creative individuals worldwide.

Winners will receive the following prizes:

First Prize: US$2,000
Second Prize: US$1,500
Third Prize: US$1,000
Fourth Prize: Certificate of Appreciation

The deadline for submitting entries is 1 October 2017.
