The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) today announced the dates for the next edition of the  International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI) which will be held from February 5 to 7, 2018.  The popular event has become something of a fixture on the agenda of large number of those in the diamond industry worldwide.

“IDWI has established a reputation as a prime trading opportunity for diamond dealers, due to the large quantity and variety of goods on offer and the minimal participation costs,” IDE elaborated.

The organisation has also announced that the forthcoming IDWI will again be held in a shorter format, “with trading taking place on the bourse floor from Monday to Wednesday, leaving Thursday as an optional day for individual meetings”.

IDE President Yoram Dvash, who expects  the next IDWI to attract even more international buyers than previously, said: "IDWI has become a very popular event in the diamond world. Last year significantly exceeded our expectations, by the number of buyers and their geographical range. We had buyers from more than 20 countries, many of them first time attendees. We are confident that his year there will be even more.”

He added: "Last year we added major international rough and polished tenders to coincide with the event and hosted important diamond leaders. This year we'll have other new features, which we’ll announce later on. Right now Save the Date: February 5 – 7, 2018 in Israel.”
