IMDH to Auction its Namibian Diamonds Through Bonas-Couzyn’s Antwerp Offices from Feb 2019 Onwards

International Mining and Dredging Holdings (Pty) Ltd (IMDH) will be offering its Namibian marine-mined rough diamonds for sale in Bonas-Couzyn’s Antwerp offices henceforth, the two organisations announced in a joint statement. The first sale is scheduled to take place in February 2019.

IMDH engages in offshore exploration, dredging and marine mining activities, Bonas says on its website. Its Namibian subsidiary, Nutam Operations (Pty) Ltd (NUTAM), has been contracted by several licence holders to undertake marine mining operations within Namibian waters, and to sell the production recovered. Amongst these is Diamond Fields (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd (DFN) which has contracted the company to work its ML111 offshore Namibian mining license.

It is reported that at the first sale, IMDH will offer approximately 47,000 cts of original marine goods of gem quality, mined by the specialist mining vessel, the Ya Toivo.

The viewings for the first tender have been announced for February 11-15, 2019. A second tender has also been planned with its viewing dates being April 23-29, 2019.

The viewings will take place by appointment at the Antwerp offices of Bonas-Couzyn and the first sale will close on Monday February 18, 2019 at 3 pm Antwerp (CET) time.
