Israel Diamond Exchange Announces 1st Tender to be Held During IDWI 2019

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) which is organising the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI) from January 28-30, 2019, has announced that it will also hold its first tender to coincide with the event.

The tender, to be managed by KOIN International, will be held January from 27-31 at IDE’s International Tender Center. It will offer a wide variety of polished goods of IDE members.

“Since opening the International Tender Center in February 2017, IDE has become a hub for rough and polished tenders held by major international companies,” said a report on the website of the Israel Diamond Industry (IDI). “This will be the first time that IDE itself will be holding a tender.”

The aim of the tender, the report says, is “to open up new markets to varied goods offered by Israeli diamond companies”.

The IDWI attracts the participation of several hundred buyers from around the world. It thus   provides “an excellent opportunity” for the sale of such gods. “The IDE tender was initiated by Zvi Zamir, Chairman of the International Tender Center and IDE’s Trade and Rough Diamond Committee to answer the needs of local diamantaires,” the IDI report said.
