Kennady Diamonds to Focus on Faraday Kimberlites During Summer Exploration Programme

Kennady Diamonds Inc has commenced its summer exploration programme on its Kennady North Project with a focus to further explore and delineate the Faraday kimberlites which have shown exceptional early results, the Company announced yesterday.

The programme will consist of at least 3,000 meters of diamond drilling in the Kelvin-Faraday area and ground geophysics over key target areas on leases acquired from GGL Resources Corp. The six leases, acquired in August 2016, adjoin the southern border of the Gahcho Kué Mine and portions are within the structural corridor along which the Gahcho Kué, Kelvin and Faraday kimberlites have been emplaced (the Kelvin–Faraday Corridor). The leases comprise roughly 4,233 hectares.

President and CEO of Kennady Diamonds, Dr. Rory Moore commented: “Following on our exceptional diamond results for the Faraday kimberlites, we are excited to continue with further exploration and delineation drilling of these bodies as they track northwards from beneath Faraday Lake to dry land.”

He said that the “geophysics will expand coverage of target areas where geophysical work was initiated during our recent winter campaign” with the results helping “to define drill targets for testing in our upcoming winter program”.
