Diamonds and diamond jewellery were in the spotlight at the 91st Annual Academy Awards held in Los Angeles last night with style icon and Oscar nominee Lady Gaga who shone in the 128 ct The Tiffany Diamond, and Oscar nominees Melissa McCarthy and Yalitza Aparicio, and presenters Serena Williams and Amandla Stenberg, who all sparkled in Forevermark diamonds, lighting up the Red Carpet.

The iconic, cushion-cut brilliant Tiffany Diamond, weighing 128.54 carats with over 82 radiant facets that Lady Gaga wore is one of the largest fancy yellow diamonds in the world and was last worn by Audrey Hepburn® in a necklace for the Breakfast at Tiffany’s publicity photo shoot.

The Tiffany Diamond, considered among the most important gemstone discoveries of the 19th century, was unearthed in 1877 in the Kimberley Mines of South Africa. Founder Charles Lewis Tiffany purchased the rough diamond the following year, solidifying the brand’s reputation as a diamond authority.

“Lady Gaga is the ultimate creator, innovator and rule breaker, and I’m thrilled that she will be wearing the legendary Tiffany Diamond on the awards show red carpet for the first time since it was discovered 141 years ago,” said Reed Krakoff, Tiffany & Co. chief artistic officer.

Likewise, the nominees and presenters who shone in Forevermark diamonds chose classic statement pieces in the form of dramatic earrings, glamorous necklaces, and stacks of diamond line bracelets.

Best Actress nominee, Melissa McCarthy, looked elegant in a black and white caped pantsuit paired with a classic diamond Riviera necklace, stud earrings and three diamond cocktail rings.

Melissa McCarthy said of her look, "Diamonds are forever… until you have to give them back the next day! Oscars newcomer Yalitza Aparicio, also nominated for Best Actress, chose incredible fancy yellow diamond drop earrings and a fancy yellow diamond ring, together totaling more than 20 carats to complete her fairytale look.

Yalitza's stylist Sophie Lopez said, "Forevermark diamonds were the final finishing touches to Yalitza's look tonight and they truly embody a lifelong reflection of beauty, perfection and strength just like Yalitza on this special night."

Adding to the group of remarkably talented, strong women who have worn Forevermark, tennis superstar Serena Williams, who presented, donned an incredible pair of 46 carat Asscher drop earrings, a stack of diamond line bracelets and two cocktail rings, her entire look totaling over 150 carats.
