Lucapa Earns Gross Proceeeds of US$ 1.7 Mn for Second Sale of 2018

Lucapa Diamond Company Limited  reported that at its  second sale of 2018 of  Lulo diamonds,   2,072 carats were sold for  gross proceeds of US$ 1.7 million. This represents  an average price of US$ 804 per carat.

In the parcel for the second sale, the largest stone  weighed 44 carats. Also included in the sale was   a vivid pink diamond weighing 1.9 carats. “The latest sale brought gross proceeds from Lulo diamonds sales to date in 2018 to US$ 10.8 million (A$13.5 million) at an average price per carat of US$ 1,731,” the Company stated.

The  Company said  it continues to recover  large Specials (+10.8 carat diamonds) from the Lulo Mine. The  latest (post-sale) recoveries include Specials weighing 85 carats and 52 carats.
