LVMH Watch & Jewellery Sales Up 14% in Q3, Bvlgari Signature Collections See Rapid Growth

Leading luxury products group, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, reported a 14% increase in organic revenue from its Watches & Jewelry business group, which reached € 951 million during the three months ended September 30, 2017 as compared to the same period last year. Organic revenue growth from the Watches and Jewelry business was 13% for the first nine months of 2017 with revenue reaching € 2,789 million during the period, the Group said in a statement.

LVMH reported that Bvlgari achieved a remarkable performance thanks in particular to the rapid growth of its signature jewellery collections Serpenti, Diva and B.Zero1. It said that the launch of the new Festa high-end jewellery line was one of the highlights of the last quarter, while Chaumet and Fred also contributed to the overall positive performance. In watches, TAG Heuer and Hublot continue to grow. LVMH added that all new products launched at the Basel trade show have had excellent results.

Across all segments of the business, the conglomerate recorded an organic revenue growth of 12% in Q3  with revenue of € 10.4 billion and a 14% increase, reaching €30.1 billion, for the first nine months of 2017. Organic revenue grew 12% compared to the same period in 2016.

All business groups recorded double-digit organic growth, with the exception of Wines and Spirits, whose progress was limited by supply constraints, while there was a negative currency impact of 5% and a positive structural impact of 7%, reflecting notably the integration of Christian Dior Couture, on the overall figures.

LVMH said it would continue to be vigilant in an uncertain geopolitical and currency environment, and will pursue its strategy focused on innovation and targeted geographic expansion in the most promising markets, relying on the power of its brands and the talent of its teams to further extend its global leadership in the luxury market in 2017.
