Nearly 4,500 Employees of Hari Krishna Group Participate in International Yoga Day Events

As many as 4,455 employees of the Hari Krishna Group and their families participated in functions organised by the Company at its premises in Mumbai and Surat on the occasion of International Day of Yoga (IDY). The day is observed after 177 countries co-sponsored a United Nations resolution to observe June 21 as IDY every year.

The events were held at the factories in Surat and SEEPZ-Mumbai, as well as at the Sales Office at BKC, Mumbai.

Hari Krishna Group-Mumbai has been conducting daily Yoga classes for the benefit of its employees and their family members. It also conducts focused Yoga Shibirs in Surat for a month during the first half of every year. These activities are done to ensure the integrated wellbeing of the employees. It also takes forward the Government of India’s vision to build awareness that the practice of Yoga brings about physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of every individual.

Speaking at the event, Ghanshyam Dholakia said, “Yoga is not just an exercise but it also helps us keep our minds and bodies healthy. The entire world is doing Yoga now and we are connected globally through this. Our employees participated with great enthusiasm and supported the initiative for a healthy living.”
