Online Jewellery Marketplace VivoCarat.com Raises US$ 50k in Seed Funding

A recently launched online jewellery marketplace, VivoCarat.com has raised a sum of US$ 50,000 from unnamed individual investors which the start-up aims to use for product development, team building and marketing, the Company said in a statement yesterday. It becomes the latest in a long line of Indian online jewellery ventures that have succeeded in attracting investors.

Founded by Ritesh Oza and Abhijith Shetty in early 2016, the online marketplace offers a range of what is describes as “new-age contemporary jewellery items, suitable for both special occasions as well as daily wear”. The Company says it has joined hands with more than 30 reputed brands across Mumbai & other cities like Jaipur, Surat, Kolkata and New Delhi.

CEO Oza said, “We add a minimum of 100-150 new designs on the site every month and will continue to bring more varieties for customers across the country.”

The Company says that products are listed in categories and collections, making it easier for consumers to locate something that matches their needs. All items are manufactured with BIS hallmarked gold and diamonds certified by leading labs.

VivoCarat also said that it will soon be adding a unique feature to the site – the Jewellery LookBook, which will provide latest news and information on jewellery trends, tips, fashion nooks, etc.
