While the Mumbai event was conducted at Jio Garden, BKC near the company’s head office, the mass event at Surat was held at the Group’s own premises. All those who took part did a number of yoga asanas and breathing exercises.

Hari Krishna Group promotes a culture of employee wellbeing, and promotes yoga to create healthier, happier lives. It also conducts focussed Yoga Shibirs in Surat for a month during the first half of every year and employees are encouraged to participate.

Ghanshyam Dholakia, Founder and Managing Director, said, ‘’Celebrating the 4th International Yoga Day spreads a message of the many benefits of practicing yoga in our daily lives.  Yoga is a unique way to approach an individual's health and happiness and we have been motivating our employees to practice and understand the ancient roots of yoga. It was great to see our employees supporting this event by participating enthusiastically and performing yoga asanas to welcome more peace and harmony in their lives.’’

The mass yoga demonstration of employees takes forward the Government of India’s vision to build awareness of yoga as a practice that unites mind, body and soul of every individual, HK Group said.
