Ravil Sanatulov to Take Over From Andrei Pismenny as Head of ALROSA Subsidiary Severalmaz

ALROSA announced recently that Ravil Sanatulov will take over as head of Severalmaz, a subsidiary company of the ALROSA group. 

For the month of January, Sanatulov has been designated as Acting Director General of the company as the present head, First Deputy Andrei Pismenny, is currently on vacation. “Andrey Pismenny, who headed Severalmaz since 2015, leaves his post upon returning from vacation due to the expiration of the employment contract,” ALROSA stated.

Born in 1963, Ravil Shamilyevich Sanatulov graduated in 1986 from the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mining engineering. That same year, he began working at the mine of Irelyakh of the Mirny GOK. In the course of his career with the company, Sanatulov rose through the ranks from being a mining equipment repairman to attaining the post of Director of the Aikhal GOK. In this capacity, a position he held from 2007 to 2018, he was the coordinator of the Company’s enterprises in Aikhal. From the fall of 2018 until his appointment to Severalmaz, Sanatulov was an adviser to the CEO of ALROSA.

“Ravil Shamilyevich has extensive professional and managerial experience; for more than ten years, he headed one of the largest GOKs of ALROSA,” commented ALROSA President Sergey Ivanov. “I am sure that his knowledge will be claimed in a new place and will help Severalmaz to successfully solve all the strategic tasks facing the enterprise.”

Ivanov added: “I also want to thank Andrei Vasilyevich Pismenny for his important contribution to the development of the company and Russian diamond mining in general, and wish him every success. Over two decades of work in Yakutia and the Arkhangelsk region, he established himself as a wonderful leader and professional in his field.”
