Sarine Unveils New Version of Advisor™️ Rough Planning Software; Expands into Thailand

Sarine Technologies Ltd recently introduced the latest version of its rough planning software tool, AdvisorTM 7.0. This version includes several new features which promise to help diamond manufacturers “further streamline the planning process and optimise the polished yield”.

The focal feature of the AdvisorTM 7.0 is the auto planner called the Centralized Automated Planning (CAP), which, for the first time, facilitates fully automated rough planning.

“The CAP tool enables the user to define advanced planning programmes based on a wide range of parameters, such as shapes, proportions, cut grades, lab specifications and many more,” Sarine said describing the feature. “The programmes are then set to run in the background, and can be executed at any time immediately after Galaxy™ scanning.”

What is even more interesting – and efficient – is that CAP “provides hundreds, and in some cases even thousands, of planning options”.

This enables manufactures to not only “sort and filter” the solutions in consonance with demand, it also reduces the time taken to reach the market.

“In addition to CAP, AdvisorTM 7.0 supports Customised Pricing, enabling direct integration with the manufacturer's internal pricing criteria, typically more extensive than published price lists, so that pricing of the finished polished stones on AdvisorTM 7.0 truly represents each manufacturer's specific internal controls,” Sarine added.

The dual viewer is yet another innovative and unique feature. This enables the planner to view a simulation of the planned stone using various common tools, including Sarine LightTM, Hearts and Arrows and Photo Real. “On a per facet basis, the planner can evaluate how the stone's light performance will differ with each tweak of the cutting and polishing plan,” Sarine explained. “This enables the polisher to meet today's more stringent demands by retailers for higher quality stones, where the criteria go beyond the traditional 4C's.”

And, in order to reduce the risk in cutting and polishing a diamond, AdvisorTM 7.0 in conjunction with an upgrade to the DiaExpertTM platforms, provides a graphic video viewer, which highlights internal stress in the rough diamond. “This allows the planner to make better more-informed decisions early on in the planning process, so as to avoid potential pitfalls during the laser sawing process, which would endanger the stone's integrity,” said Sarine.

David Block, CEO of Sarine, commented: "The use of forward thinking, technology-based tools is the future of the global diamond industry. AdvisorTM 7.0 includes new standard-setting features that yet again transform the rough planning process, by enabling full automation and improved efficiency, higher levels of yield optimisation, and reduced risk and costs.”

A few days prior to the press release about the introduction  of the AdvisorTM 7.0 tool, Sarine had also announced its entry into Thailand, where its Sarine Profile™ light performance reports will be  implemented, for the first time,  by Aurora Design Co. Ltd.’s  subsidiary Aurora Diamond. The Aurora Group has a presence in over 200 retail stores nationwide in Thailand.

“The Sarine LightTM report aspect of the Sarine Profile™ presents an accurate evaluation of the diamond's Cut and its interaction with light, resulting in a light performance grade,” Sarine explained. “Available in digital display or printed format, the Sarine LightTM report provides Aurora Diamond’s customers with an in-depth understanding of the diamond's unique beauty, along with a powerful visual experience that enhances the in-store sales process.”
