Strong India Pavilion at the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair 2019 Which Kicked Off Yesterday

After some moments of uncertainty due to the protests which took place in Hong Kong earlier, the 37th edition of the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair kicked off yesterday, September 16, 2019.

The show is being held at two venues for different product segments and the dates also vary slightly with a few days overlapping.

Companies carrying loose stones are located at the Asia World Expo, Hong Kong, where the exhibition is being held from September 16-20, 2019.

Exhibitors displaying finished jewellery have been accommodated in HKCEC, Wanchai, Hong Kong, where the show will run from September 18-22, 2019.

The India Pavilion organised by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council, which has always had a strong participation at the fair, this year has a 99 member contingent.

This year the India Pavilion is spread across three locations:

Companies exhibiting diamonds are in Hall No.11; Those displaying gemstones are in Hall No.10, both at the Asia World Expo.

The finished jewellery section of the India Pavilion is situated in Hall No. 3E at HKCEC.

Though it is too early to have any assessment on the show, all participants are hoping that it will be a turning point for an industry which has faced many challenges in recent times.
