Sahajanand Technologies Receives I-Mark Recognition
Surat-based Sahajanand Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has received the I-Mark for ‘Industrial Equipment’ after winning recognition at a Jury meet held recently in Bangalore. The company got the recognition for its product ‘Magnus Digital’, an advanced rough diamond planner. This is the first time that a company related to the diamond industry has received the I-Mark from the India Design Mark.
I-Mark is granted by India Design Mark of the India Design Council - a statutory body, established by the Government of India, functioning under the aegis of Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. It awards the I-Mark in conjunction with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). The body says that it is a design standard and a recognition of good design.
The Council says that the I-Mark “symbolises product excellence in form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation, and communicates that the product is usable, durable, aesthetically appealing & socially responsible”. It evaluates good design in a systemaic manner on the basis of clearly established parameters and the final products are selected by an experienced jury panel.
In January 2015, STPL also received the Good Quality (GQA) award. All its products are designed, developed and manufactured in India.
Dhirajlal Kotadia, Chairman STPL, congratulated the team for this award and said, “By its unique vision towards technology Sahajanand Technologies Pvt. Ltd. provided award winning products to the diamond industry.”
