‘Tago Arc’ - Wearable Electronics’ New Frontier

LIBER8 Technology, a Hungarian company has introduced a bracelet, the design of which can be changed through a specialised app which stores hundreds and hundreds of designs. The company’s is involved in developing products that require no charge and operate without buttons and connectors.

“Our first product the “tago arc” bracelet comes with a full width e-ink surface display. It has the amazing flexibility of fitting the wearer’s mood and outfit. The user can simply download a picture or create a slogan on his/her smartphone’s tago app and transfer it to the user’s wrist without any chord.”

This is possible as below the e-ink display there is an NFC  (Near Field Communication) chip. NFC is the technology widely used in smartphones allowing devices to establish radio communication with each other. This and some more technology allows the transfer of an image from a smartphone onto the e-ink band of the bracelet, without any external power source.

And if you want an even wider choice - no problem. “Users can have a lot of fun creating their own pictures on our tago app,” explains Liber8. “Furthermore, users can support the tago community and other tago users by purchasing more pictures. Tago app also allows users to directly download classic b&w pictures onto their tago device. Our picture market contains many free and premium pictures so users can wear a new look on their bracelet whenever they want.”

What is more, the Tago app comes with a “user-friendly picture editor” that makes the process of designing and uploading artwork easy for users.

The bracelet which costs about Euro  300,  “sits on the boundary between wearable electronics and jewellery” media sources quote its developers as saying.
