CIBJO, the World Jewelry Confederation yesterday announced that it had opened delegate registrations for its 2017 Congress which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, November 5-7, 2017 with the launch of a dedicated website at http://www.cibjo.org/congress2017.

In addition to providing an overview of the event, the website also provides details regarding travel, stay, schedules etc as well as an online registration form for the congress and a link for the room booking service at Shangri-La Bangkok (the venue), which enables participants to book hotel rooms at a special congress rate.

Pre-congress meetings begin on November 2 and the World Ruby Forum, which is being organised in conjunction with the congress, will take place on November 4, CIBJO said.

The congress is being be hosted by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewellery Institute of Thailand (GIT), both of which fall under the jurisdiction of the Thai Ministry of Commerce.

Since the CIBJO Congress 2017 will be a carbon neutral event, participants have also been requested to complete a carbon footprinting form which is available on the site. CIBJO said that information about the programme being prepared for accompanying persons and pre and post-congress touring opportunities will be added at a later date.
