Quite a bit of the wattage on the red carpet at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards was generated by the diamonds which lit up the stars attending the event.

Forevermark diamonds, of course, were particularly prominent adorning as they did actors Sandra Oh and Gemma Chan.

“The host of the evening and Golden Globe winner, Sandra Oh, dazzled in Forevermark diamonds in three show-stopping looks,” Forevermark described in a press release after the event. “Channeling old Hollywood glamour on the red carpet, Oh donned an elegant white gown, statement diamond earrings and a stack of diamond line bracelets. Finally, Oh accepted her Golden ­­­Globe for Best Actress in a TV series for her role in Killing Eve wearing a white gown with embellished gold sleeves, serpent-inspired diamond earrings and fancy yellow Forevermark Exceptional Diamond rings.”

Elizabeth Saltzman, Oh’s stylist, shared the inspiration behind her look, saying, “Working with strong, powerful, super talented women like Sandra Oh is not only lucky, but exciting– especially in this year where we have so much choice. Gemma Chan, actor in Golden Globe nominated Crazy Rich Asians looked radiant on the red carpet wearing a pair of cascading chandelier diamond earrings and stackable diamond rings to complement her dramatic deep blue gown.

The 2019 Golden Globes made it clear that diamonds are the all-time winners, as star after star made their appearances. This year, it seems necklaces were at the top of the charts with several actresses wearing eye-stopping pieces. Next, there were the women in danglers – fancy earrings in many different styles. Arguably, the most talked about person and her look – including her statement piece of jewellery – was Lady Gaga wearing a custom made necklace specially crafted for her by artisans of Tiffany & Co, appropriately dubbed the Aurora necklace. The necklace made in platinum contains over 300 brilliant cut diamonds, and a 20-carat pear-shaped diamond at the heart of the necklace. Lady Gaga also wore three different bracelets from Tiffany & Co; and diamond stud type earrings set in platinum.

The other actresses who made a statement with their neckwear were: Isla Fisher in a Harry Winston platinum a diamond cascading necklace; Dakota Fanning in a vintage diamond festoon necklace from Beladora Jewelry; Rachel Weisz in a Cartier choker; Kiki Layne in Bulgari diamond choker neckpiece.

The ladies who chose to say it simply with earrings included: Julia Roberts in Chopard double drop pear-shaped linear earrings; and Emma Stone in streamlined earrings amongst others.
