GJEPC Completes 3rd Phase of eSANCHIT Training

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) successfully completed the third session of eSANCHIT training. The session was held at its Head Office in Mumbai on Jan 7, 2019. It was attended by EXIM managers from 14 companies.

eSANCHIT is a gateway which enables exporters to submit all supporting documents for clearance of their consignments electronically. The training was organised to provide practical guidance and solutions for uploading documents on e-SANCHIT.

Niraj Sinha, consultant, took the lead in providing the participants with the necessary information and guidance and trained them through a live demo on how to upload documents on e-SANCHIT, taking them through the procedure step by step. The EXIM managers attended with their laptops and, as most of them have their user IDs and passwords for the portal, they were able to make the most of the training.

With such training, GJEPC is able to build confidence among the managers and encourage member companies to become self-sufficient for such procedures. This is yet another effort undertaken by the GJEPC to take the sector towards professionalism and transparency, which is a most required reform in the current scenario.
