GJEPC Conducts GST Awareness Seminars with IIJS Exhibitors

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council began the series of GST Awareness seminars it will be holding with exhibitors at IIJS 2017 across the country at a meeting in Delhi yesterday. The seminars will help the exhibitors to take note and closely understand the Exhibitor Manual with all new developments for the upcoming edition and to create GST awareness. The aim is to ensure that the exhibitors are GST-ready by the time of the show.

The meeting was addressed by committee members and officials of the Council with special additional guidance provided by Mr. Premnath of the Bank of Nova Scotia and the main speaker, Mr. S. Kothari of ELP. The latter gave a detailed presentation on the GST rules and procedures as well as the implications for the gem and jewellery industry.

Similar meetings are being held in Jaipur, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from June 20-23, 2017.
