GJEPC Organises Awareness Seminar for Trade Members of Visnagar CFC Cluster

The Surat office of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council organised an awareness seminar in Visnagar in Gujarat on March 13, 2020 to inform trade members from Visnagar Common Facility Centre (CFC) cluster and surrounding villages / taluks like Satlasna & Vadnagar about various aspects of the Council’s work and the industry.

This is part of a campaign that is being taken up for the members of various clusters around the different CFCs that are operating in the state.

Sanket Navadiya, Nodal Officer, CFC-Gujarat briefed the audience about the activities and initiatives taken up by GJEPC including services offered by CFC Visnagar and encouraged members to take benefit of the same to improve their productivity and yield.

Rachna Shah, Asst. Manager-Membership, gave a detailed presentation on the benefits of, and enrolment process for membership of GJEPC, including the new feature of Micro Membership. 

Jethabhai Prajapati, Vice President, Diamond Karkhanedar Welfare Association shared his experiences of utilising the Common Facility Centre services and encouraged those present to also avail of these. He appreciated the work and effort put in by GJEPC in setting up the CFC in Visnagar keeping in mind the larger interests of the local trade. He welcomed the initiative of GJEPC in providing guidance on the importance of good production practices and operational excellence and requested it to conduct such programmes at regular intervals.

Japan Trivedi, Trainer and Consultant, National Productivity Council during his presentation spoke about the importance of self-transformation, operational transformation, successful transformation, team building, operational effectiveness, Technique vs Attitude etc. His inputs covered various processes and tools that can be implemented during work to achieve excellence in production. He explained the "5S" technique and its usefulness in manufacturing. 

Ishvarbhai Prajapati, President, Diamond Karkhanedar Welfare Association gave the Vote of Thanks.

Nearly 200 members of the trade attended the seminar.
