GJEPC Organises Diamond Grading Training Programme in Vadodara, Gujarat

The Gujarat Regional Office of The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) organised a week-long training programme on Diamond Grading for the jewellery manufacturers of Vadodara from December 16-21, 2019. The programme was held under the banner of "Kaushalyam .. Committed to Excellence".

Conducted by GJEPC’s Knowledge Partner, Indian Diamond Institute, the sessions encompassed both theory and hands on practice in the grading of polished diamonds. The themes covered included the 4C’s, cut proportions and grades, various methods for estimation, scale of clarity, colour nomenclature, grading of loose and mounted diamonds etc.  All the practical training was given on natural diamonds.

The 41 participants were divided into two batches and all completed the course successfully. Certificates were distributed by hands of Regional Director, Gujarat, GJEPC and Dy. Director, IDI followed by a trade meet with the office bearers of Vadodara Jewelers Association.

Recently, the GJEPC also attended the Annual Function of Shri Surendranagar Sona Chandi Association. GJEPC Senior Executive Kishan Detroja made a presentation about the Council’s activities covering the G&J Parichay Card, Swasthya Kosh and benefits of Membership with GJEPC.  He explained the process of becoming a member of the body, and how members could apply online for IEC.

The function was attended by over 200 members of the association.
