GJEPC Organises Seminar for G&J Entrepreneurs in the MSME Sector

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) organised a seminar in Mumbai for entrepreneurs in the MSME sector, on Saturday May 19, 2018.

The event was part of the GJEPC’s endeavour to connect with, and cater to the needs of, local associations, MSME entrepreneurs and artisans. The seminar was organised in collaboration with the Bhartiya Daivadnya Samajonnati Parishad - Yuva Vibhag and the Mumbai Swarnkar Sangh.

The event covered many areas: it provided information on areas like bank finance, and corporate management of businesses, and other related subjects. Those attending the seminar were also assured of every support in the development of their businesses.

Yes Bank Vice  President Avinash Chandra spoke on “MSME Funding – Bank’s Perspective” during which  he assured those present that if a group persons desired to avail of bank finance,  their  team would set up a meeting at a convenient location and within a day, the  eligibility of applicants to receive such financing would be finalised.  If there were any deficiencies in the applicant’s paperwork, the same would be communicated on the spot.    

Supreme Kothari and Amit Manubarwala of the Economic Laws Practice (ELP) made a presentation on company formation, GST, taxation and other pertinent issues  related to these areas.

Naren Kotak of Edelweiss provided information on the Parichay Card & Health Insurance, outlining the benefits of these  for unorganised artisans.

 R B Gupte, Director of the MSME Development Institute also attended the function.
