GJEPC to Set Up ‘G&J Export Facilitation Centre’ in Delhi

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will open a ‘G&J Export Facilitation Centre’ in Jhandewalan, New Delhi to provide assistance to its members with regard to various government policies, as well as facilitate promotion and marketing of the industry. The Centre is expected to start functioning within the next 6-8 months.

Premises for the new centre have been taken on 2nd floor of G- Block, Flatted Factories Complex, Jhandewalan, New Delhi, in the same complex as the Northern Regional Office.

An important first step was taken on February 15, 2019, with the handover of the premises and a small puja ceremony. Shri Pramod Agrawal- Chairman, Shri Ashok Seth- Regional Chairman North, Shri Sabyasachi Ray- Executive Director, Shri Ashwani Kapoor, Chief General Manager, MMTC, Shri Ravi Kishore, Chief General Manager, MMTC and other members of the GJEPC’s northern regional committee, trade and MMTC officials were present on the occasion.

Ms Rupa Dutta, Economic Adviser, Department of Commerce was also present at the ceremony.

The Gems and Jewellery Export Facilitation Centre would assist industry members in the fields of export facilitation with regard to policy and budgetary measures being announced by the Government of India and also coordinate other activities related to promotion and marketing of the industry.
