Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, met with the newly appointed Commissioner of Customs, Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre (PCCCC), Mr. Santosh Kumar Mishra, to discuss key issues impacting the gem and jewellery trade.

Welcoming Commissioner Mishra, Mr. Bhansali highlighted several pressing challenges faced by exporters and importers in the industry and sought the continued support of the Customs department to facilitate smooth trade operations.

In response, Commissioner Mishra assured his full support, reiterating his department’s commitment to ease of doing business. He stated, “When you flourish, we flourish, and the country flourishes,” highlighting the importance of close cooperation between Customs and trade bodies like GJEPC.
