The new lab and office premises of HRD Antwerp in Mumbai was inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of His Excellency Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of Belgium Pieter De Crem, as well as Jan Luykx, HE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and Peter Huyghebaert, HE Consul General to the Kingdom of Belgium. Also present were Ari Epstein, Chairman of the Board HRD Antwerp and Samir Mehta, Member of the Board HRD Antwerp.

The new premises are within walking distance from the Bharat Diamond Bourse.

The inauguration took place during the Economic Mission to Mumbai organized by the Flemish Chamber of Commerce (Voka), Flanders Investment and Trade and Brussels Airlines. The latter has just launched a new direct flight from Brussels to Mumbai.

Ravi Chhabria, Managing Director of HRD Antwerp India said that the new lab which had the latest technology and equipment and the new premises reflected HRD’s expectations of further growth in the demand for HRD Antwerp services in India and worldwide. He added that HRD Antwerp had also re-launched its education programme in India.

To celebrate the inauguration of their new office, HRD Antwerp is also offering grading for exceptional 5ct+ stones this week in fast and superfast service only.
