The 14th edition of the Jaipur Jewellery Show (JJS) 2017, focused this year on the theme Ruby – Red, Rare and Royal, concluded in the Pink City yesterday with the over 700 exhibitors expressing satisfaction at the business done during the event. Nearly 37,000 people visited the show, the organisers have said.

JJS 2017 was held from Dec 22-25 at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Center(JECC), Exhibition Ground, EPIP, Sitapura, and showcased the entire spectrum of gems and jewellery products including loose gemstones and plain metal and studded as well as fashion jewellery.

JJS Secretary told the media that the Jaipur Jewellery Design Festival (JJDF) was a huge attraction this year. The event was “to celebrate and promote jewellery design in all its glory..”and had displays across four different sub categories: India’s Extraordinary, In Love with India, Indian Innovators, Artisans of India. Jain said that many more designers have evinced interest in participating in the JJDF next year.

Another highlight was the JJS-IJ Jewellers Choice Awards, with the winners being announced and honoured at a grand red carpet event graced by Bollywood star Dia Mirza. The competition saw over 600 entries in 22 product categories and in addition to the final selection by the grand jury, over 10,000 retailers from across the country participated in the online voting process.

At the closing of the show, JJS Convener Vimal Chand Surana announced that the next JJS will be held from Dec 21-24, 2018.
