The Qatar Diamond Exchange (QDE) has signed an MoU with Borsa Diamanti d’Italia, establishing a partnership to strengthen commercial and industry links between their respective memberships.

The agreement was signed during the CIBJO Centenary Congress in Vicenza, Italy, by Ghanim Nasser Al-Saadi, Director of QDE, and Luigi Cosma, President of Borsa Diamanti d’Italia and Vice President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB).

The partnership will facilitate member introductions, reciprocal visits and participation in industry events, tenders, auctions and diamond viewings. Both bourses will also promote consumer confidence in natural diamonds and precious stones and support recognised industry standards, including the World Diamond Council’s System of Warranties and Responsible Jewellery Council initiatives.

The agreement extends QDE’s bourse partnerships from Asia into Europe, following earlier MoUs with exchanges in Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo. Borsa Diamanti d’Italia, founded in Milan in 1926, is marking its centenary this year.
