In a move aimed at strengthening its operations in India, Sarine Technologies yesterday inaugurated its new central office in Surat, consolidating all of the Group's Surat-based activities for the Indian diamond market under one roof.

The new facility, a six-storey, 55,000 square feet premises is wholly owned by the Company's Indian subsidiary, Sarin India. The building will house approximately 400 staff and will bring all operations and services of Sarin India in Surat including pre- and post-sales Customer Care and Support, Galaxy™ inclusion mapping, Quazer™ laser processing and the Sarine Profile™ polished diamond wholesale and retail trade services, under one roof. The building is located at AK Road.

David Block, Chief Operating Officer and designated Chief Executive Officer of Sarine, said, "The opening of Sarin House in Surat is an exciting and important milestone. The new structure has been designed and realized to serve the current and future needs and growth of the Group's operations in India.”

Block added that the move to Sarin House, with its spacious layout and hi-tech infrastructure, is testimony to Sarine's commitment to the Indian diamond industry and that it not only strengthens the Company's presence in India, but also signals its “long-term vision as a key supporter of the diamond industry in India, today and into the future."
