Senior representatives of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Smt. Rupa Dutta, Economic Advisor, MoC&I and Shri Senthil Nathan, Dy. secretary, MoC&Iaddressed the Exporters’ Meet organised by GJEPC’s Regional Office in Surat yesterday.

Exporters who attended raised a number of issues and concerns at the forum related to air cargo in Surat, GST ICT Accumulation, GST on consignment re-import, Jewellery section at Surat Hira Bourse, Appraisal officer at Ahmedabad port for Studded Jewellery, Customs Clearance Facility in Rajkot, Gold vault in Surat and Rajkot, AEO certificate and other related operational issues.

The officials from the Dept of Commerce assured the members that of best possible support from the government and said they would endeavour to resolve the issues for the benefit of trade and to facilitate an increase in exports.
