Shri. Shaankar Sen, founder chairman of Senco Gold & Diamonds, and Vice Chairman, GJC, passed away on 28th July.

GJEPC deeply mourns the untimely demise of Shri. Sen, CMD Senco Gold. We pay our homage and respect to a visionary, a guide, a mentor and a leader.

Shri. Sen, who built one of the country’s biggest retail jewellery chains, was recognised for his transparent business dealings and his commitment to excellence in jewellery. He was a director of the Senco Gold Group since its inception, and due to his vast experience in the field of jewellery and stellar leadership qualities, he was elected Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the company in 2007. Thanks to his stewardship, Senco Gold Ltd., is the largest retail chain of eastern India with 105 outlets spread across 14 states in the country.

One of the luminaries of the Indian jewellery industry, Shri. Sen won many awards for entrepreneurship, and held key posts in various industry organisations.
