Sotheby’s is getting ready to welcome the season of the blossoms with some stunning spring-hued diamonds and jewels.

On April 10, Sotheby’s will hold an Online Auction of Jewels; on April 18 it has planned  the Magnificent Jewels sale in New York; and on April 19, the auction house will conduct the Fine Jewels sale also in New York.

The Magnificent Jewels sale in New York on April 18 will feature a variety of “impressive diamonds in spring-like hues”, the auction house announced.

The highlights of the sale are: an Important Fancy Intense Pink Diamond weighing 7.01 carats and a Rare Fancy Intense Blue Diamond weighing 3.47 carats.  Also to be featured are  classic white diamonds of “impeccable quality”, including a magnificent 33.25 carat, D-Flawless, pear-shaped diamond pendant.

The sale will feature 15 coloured diamonds in blue, pink, yellow, green and  all shades in between, asserts the auction house.

The sale will also include signed jewels by Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, David Webb and Buccellati; as well as a stunning diamond and emerald necklace by Tiffany & Co., formerly from the collection of Betsey Cushing Whitney. Finally, completing the collection on sale are contemporary jewels by Hemmerle, which include  three “visually striking and bold designs  serving as a celebration of the avant-garde firm in its 125th year”.
