Sri Lankan Students Begin CAD Rhinoceros Training at IIGJ Jaipur

The Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ), Jaipur, welcomed a delegation of students from Sri Lanka for a specialised training programme in CAD Rhinoceros software, with the initial sessions focused on building core digital jewellery design skills.

The inaugural session introduced participants to the fundamentals of Rhinoceros, an industry-standard computer-aided design (CAD) platform widely used in jewellery design and manufacturing. Students received hands-on training in 3D modelling, familiarising themselves with the software's interface, essential tools and design workflows.

The programme aims to strengthen participants' technical capabilities through practical learning and industry-oriented training. Over the coming sessions, the delegation will receive advanced instruction in digital jewellery design, preparing them for modern manufacturing processes and global industry standards.

Established by the GJEPC, IIGJ Jaipur is one of India's leading institutes for gems and jewellery education in the country. The institute offers certificate and diploma programmes, a four-year B.Des. in Jewellery Design, professional courses in gemstone identification, gemstone cutting and polishing, jewellery design and manufacturing, CAD, and other industry-focused skill development programmes.
