Most Exhibitors Happy with Signature 2015

There was a general air of satisfaction among most exhibitors, visitors and the organisers as the 8th edition of Signature IIJS drew to a close at Goregaon, Mumbai on February 23. The final number of visitors has not yet been announced, but the general consensus was that while traffic was a bit lower than expected, the quality of buyers was high, especially for the jewellery segment. The loose stone segment, particularly diamonds, was an exception with low footfalls and slow business.

Sarine Revenues Up 15%, Profits Rise 14% in 2014

Sarine Technologies Ltd announced its financial results for 2014, reporting a strong performance during the year with revenues rising 15% to US$ 87.8 million and Net Profit up by 14% to US$ 27.2 million. Growth was bolstered by increased GalaxyTM family related recurring income and higher sales of rough diamond planning and processing products, the company said in a statement.

March Hong Kong Show Adds New Features

Last year the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show together had more than 3,850 exhibitors from 53 countries and regions, and 74,000 visitors from 145 countries and regions.

Steady Stream of Visitors on IIJS Signature Day 3, Jewellery Exhibitors Positive

The third day of IIJS Signature saw a steady stream of visitors to the show, though the surge in numbers that some had looked forward to on Sunday did not materialise. Overall the pattern seen over the first two days was repeated, with the gold jewellery section attracting maximum attention and the loose diamond and gemstones segment being relatively the one with the lowest footfalls
