The GJEPC leadership met with Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), for a courtesy meeting to discuss key industry issues.
Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC; Mr. Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC provided a detailed overview of the industry’s current status, followed by discussions on critical matters such as the introduction of Risk Management System (RMS), developing an online module for hand-carrying gems and jewellery parcels, tolerance variance for diamond re-imports, and the establishment of a Special Notified Zone (SNZ) for coloured gemstones.
