A delegation from the GJEPC, led by the Gujarat Regional Chairman Mr. Jayanti Savaliya and Regional Director Mr. Rajat Wani, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Customs, Shri Satyavir Singh on 3rd September. The team presented the White Paper on Air Cargo in Surat and briefed him on the proposed Special Notified Zone (SNZ) at the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB). Shri Singh appreciated GJEPC’s initiatives and assured full support, particularly in expediting the SNZ notification process.
The delegation also met Shri A.N. Sharma, Airport Director, Airport Authority of India, Surat, to formally submit the Air Cargo proposal. Shri Sharma responded positively and assured that necessary steps would be initiated at the earliest.
