Sakha Republic Delegation Explores Gems & Jewellery Partnership in Jaipur

A high-level government delegation from the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), the largest republic of Russia and a significant global source of rough diamonds, visited Jaipur recently for discussions with the GJEPC. The meeting, facilitated by the Industries Department of the Government of Rajasthan through DGM Ms. Sonia Sangari, was attended by Mr. Yogendra Garg, Regional Chairman, GJEPC; Mr. Nitin Khandelwal, Regional Director, GJEPC; and Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Assistant Director, World Trade Centre, Jaipur.

The discussions centred on exploring a partnership between Yakutia and Jaipur in the gems and jewellery sector, leveraging Jaipur’s renowned expertise in coloured gemstones. The Government of Rajasthan assured support to GJEPC to further these collaborative efforts.

The delegation was led by Mr. Kim Borisov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and Permanent Representative in the Far East Federal District, along with Mr. Gavril Kirillin, Minister for External Relations and Ethnic Affairs of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).
