De Beers Group has rolled out its branded polished diamond offering, Origin De Beers Group, to retail stores across North America. This is the first time the collection is available in store, giving shoppers direct access to diamonds backed by clear provenance and rich storytelling.
Introduced at JCK earlier this year, Origin De Beers Group helps retailers share the individual journey of each natural diamond sourced by the company. Every stone is responsibly mined, precision polished and traceable from discovery to the communities it has benefited. The programme is supported by Tracr, De Beers Group’s blockchain platform, which provides end-to-end transparency and authenticity for diamonds above 0.3 carats.
Consumers can explore the story behind their diamond through interactive in-store and digital experiences, learning about its origin, rarity and social impact. The launch is supported by 19 retail partners, representing 30 locations across the United States and Canada. De Beers has collaborated with Sightholders Grandview Klein and Mahendra Brothers to bring the programme to leading independent retailers including Bachendorf’s, Bijouterie Italienne P.M. Inc., Brown & Co. Jewelers, CH Premier Jewelers, Hamilton Jewelers, London Jewelers, Tara Fine Jewelry, Wempe and others.
Retailers are equipped with digital tools that present each diamond’s journey from source to store. Shoppers can view details such as country of origin, the Natural Rarity Score, and the community programmes supported through the value chain.
