The House of Migo and the Art of Conscious Curation

With The House of Migo, Anisha Mittal and Isha Goyal have reimagined luxury not as exclusivity, but as connection—to craft, to culture, and to self-expression. In every curve of metal and shimmer of pearl lies Migo’s quiet philosophy: great design belongs to everyone.

In a world where jewellery often mirrors extravagance, The House of Migo stands for something deeper—a celebration of artistry, authenticity, and emotion. Founded by duo Anisha Mittal and Isha Goyal, Migo is redefining how we experience luxury—offering demi-fine, design-forward jewellery that marries craftsmanship with accessibility. Every creation, from sculptural gold-plated forms to cascading pearl chandeliers, tells a story of elegance rooted in Indian artistry yet expressed through a distinctly modern lens.

In an exclusive conversation with Solitaire International, the founders share their journey of building a brand that brings the soul of fine design to the everyday, and the art of curation to the heart of luxury.

How did The House of Migo begin?

The House of Migo was born from a simple yet powerful idea—to make great design accessible. We admired the craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibility of premium jewellery houses, but noticed a gap for those who wanted that same level of quality and detail without the high price tag. Migo bridges that space, offering demi-fine, trend-forward jewellery starting at ₹2,000. Each piece is handpicked and thoughtfully curated, meant to feel versatile, personal, and beautifully crafted.

What inspired the name Migo?

“Migo” takes its cue from amigo, the Spanish word for friend. It reflects the warmth and connection we want our customers to feel. The House of Migo is, in essence, a friend in style—a space where design becomes a shared language of expression.

How has your vision evolved since your early days?

What began as a passion project to curate unique pieces has evolved into a creative ecosystem, a community of designers, artisans, and collectors. Migo today is about more than adornment; it’s about conscious curation, storytelling, and celebrating the timeless artistry of handmade jewellery.

Tell us about your backgrounds and what each of you brings to Migo?

We both come from creative disciplines—spanning fashion, design, and retail—which gives us a shared yet distinct perspective. We approach curation with an editorial eye and an appreciation for craftsmanship. Together, we aim to present jewellery that feels effortless, refined, and relevant to the modern woman.

How would you describe your design DNA?

Our aesthetic lies in curated contrasts. You’ll find bold sculptural forms alongside ethereal pearl ensembles—each piece distinct yet unified by a common thread of elegance and individuality.

What materials and techniques define your collections?

We work with 22-karat gold-plated silver, pearls, semi-precious gemstones, and enamel detailing. Our designers employ an array of artisanal techniques—from filigree and stone-setting to casting and meenakari—blending traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibilities.

How do you navigate between trends and timelessness?

We’ve never been led by trends. Instead, we look for designs that have soul—pieces that remain relevant and wearable across seasons. It’s about creating jewellery that resonates emotionally, not just stylistically.

Our collections often reinterpret India’s rich artisanal legacy in a contemporary light—from Mughal-inspired detailing to architectural geometry and organic textures. Each piece carries a subtle nod to heritage, expressed through a modern aesthetic.

Where are Migo’s pieces made?

Our jewellery is handcrafted by talented designers and artisans across India—from Jaipur to Mumbai to Delhi—each bringing their regional expertise and signature touch to the final creation.

How do you approach quality and ethical production?

Every piece goes through a meticulous inspection process for finish, plating, and durability. Many of our partner designers use recycled metals and ethically sourced stones. For us, sustainability isn’t a trend—it’s an intrinsic part of our ethos.

Which collections best capture Migo’s essence?

Our Wedding Season Edit is an ode to love and legacy through sculptural chokers and layered pearl ensembles. The Festive Radiance Edit reflects the spirit of celebration, featuring luminous gold-plated creations. Both embody the craftsmanship and emotion at the heart of Migo.

What makes The House of Migo distinct in today’s jewellery landscape?

Each piece is selected for its story, craftsmanship, and soul. It’s jewellery with a heartbeat, not mass production.

How has digital commerce influenced your journey?

Digital platforms have allowed us to reach a global audience that appreciates Indian design through a contemporary lens. We’ve also introduced virtual styling and bespoke gifting—ensuring that the Migo experience feels intimate, no matter where our customer is.
