The Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) recently held its annual Industry Summit, a prestigious event that brought together industry leaders and professionals, on 21st October. One of the highlights of the summit was the generous donation of a stunning diamond painting by artist Reena Ahluwalia.
Ahluwalia’s artwork, titled “Pristine”, is a captivating piece that showcases the beauty and brilliance of Canadian diamonds. The painting, valued at US$5,000, was donated as a star raffle prize to raise funds for the CJA.
The CJA Industry Summit was a resounding success, attracting a large crowd and featuring a diverse range of programs, including educational sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities. The event culminated with the CJA Awards, sponsored by De Beers.
“I make art to add joy to people’s lives,” said Ahluwalia. “When art can serve (a purpose), it’s one of the most gratifying feelings.”
The CJA Chair, Angela Betteridge, praised Ahluwalia for her generosity and contribution to the association. “Thank you, Reena Ahluwalia, for donating your incredible art,” said Betteridge. “The Canadian Jewellers Association is deeply grateful for your most generous support.”
