SRK Knowledge Foundation (SRKKF), the community welfare arm of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), along with Shree Ramkrishna Charitable Trust and Nanduba Medical Centre, Katargam, Surat, conducted a Multi-Speciality Medical camp in the tribal district of Dang in Gujarat on 28th August 2022.
This was the 28th such medical camp organised by SRKKF at Dang. The patients were attended to by 108 doctors including specialists like paediatricians, gynaecologists, dermatologists, ophthalmologists, dentists, etc. and MS (general) and MD (psychiatric) along with a paramedical team.
Dr. Ravi Mohanka, a liver transplant specialist, who had performed the liver transplantation of Mr. Govindkaka last year, had also specially come from Mumbai to attend the medical camp.
The 4-hour camp saw participation of over 2,000 villagers and inhabitants of Dang. The chief guests during the medical camp were Mangalbhai Gavit, Hon’ble Chief – Jilla Panchayat, Dang; Shri Vijaybhai Patel, MLA, Dang; and Vanrajbhai Nayak, Minister, Dang Ashram.
Govindkaka Dholakia, Founder-Chairman of SRKKF, said, “Tribal communities are a role model in the way they help in preservation of forest, land and water. They are an indispensable part of our ecosystem. Together, we all must endeavour to strengthen and support them in the best possible manner.”
